The biggest dream of the municipality Almere is to become waste-free in 2020. This concept is translated into this renovation plan of The Steiger. The existing building is stripped down to a 'naked' structure, making the columns, beams and rooflights noticeable again. The plan is structured through a big monumental recycled charcoal wall. Waste is used as cladding and decorative materials on the smallest scale, such as the kitchenware wall.
